The Dreamtech D4548G incorporates the characteristic mechanics of a balisong in a configuration specifically designed for training. Instead of a sharp blade, this version features a non-cutting 7Cr17 steel component that includes a bottle opener, allowing users to practice handling techniques while minimizing the risks associated with a functional cutting edge.
A construction combining TC4 titanium and 7075 aluminum
The handle is built around a black 7075 aluminum frame, complemented by several gray TC4 titanium inserts. These metal parts are positioned at the ends of the handle’s two blades and create a striking contrast with the black finish of the main structure.
When opened, the D4548G measures 244 mm. Its two 137-mm blades provide the necessary space for the various rotations and maneuvers characteristic of the balisong style, while the longitudinal cutouts contribute to its technical design.
7Cr17 trainer with bottle opener function
The blade measures 111 mm and is 3.8 mm thick. Made of 7Cr17 steel, it has no functional cutting edge. Its large central opening makes the blade appear lighter, while the notch near its tip serves as a bottle opener.
Integrated latch to hold the blades together
The closing system uses an integrated spring-loaded latch at the end of the handle. This keeps the two blades together when the balisong is closed or when they are pulled together.
Without a pocket clip and designed with handling in mind, the Dreamtech D4548G is primarily a training model that replicates the dimensions and mechanics of a classic balisong.
